If you spill an acid, you must use a base currency in order to neutralize them.

Other chemicals have their own methods of cleaning. Mercury can be cleaned for example with zinc or sulfur: mercury reacts with these chemicals, either form of zinc / mercury amalgam (fillings and metal) or mercury sulfide (also known as cinnabar).
